Bore, outside diameter and width of deep-groove ball bearings in the 68, 69, 60, 62 and 63 series from 10 to 100 mm bore, and how to read the bearing number.
Measure the shaft and the housing bore, then find the bearing that fits. The series sets how heavy the bearing is for the same bore: 68 and 69 are thin-section, 60 is light, 62 medium and 63 heavy – more outside diameter and width means more load capacity. Suffixes such as 2RS (two rubber seals), ZZ (two metal shields) or C3 (more internal clearance) do not change these dimensions.

How to read a bearing number
The first digit 6 means a single-row deep-groove ball bearing, the second digit the series (8, 9, 0, 2, 3). The last two digits give the bore: 00 = 10 mm, 01 = 12 mm, 02 = 15 mm, 03 = 17 mm, and from 04 upwards multiply by 5 (6205 → 25 mm, 6310 → 50 mm).

Load ratings used by the Bearing Life calculator
Load ratings depend on the maker and the internal design, so the chart does not list them for every size. These are the four deep-groove examples built into the Bearing Life calculator (marked * in the tables); for any other bearing take C and C₀ from the maker's catalogue.

Assumptions and sources
Boundary dimensions d × D × B in mm from ISO 15 (dimension series 18, 19, 10, 02 and 03). They are the same for every maker; seals, shields and clearance class do not change them.
Load ratings C and C₀ vary by maker and design. Only the four ratings built into the Bearing Life calculator are listed; they are not invented for other sizes.
Need a size or setting that is not in the chart? The Bearing Life calculator turns C, C₀, your loads and speed into L10 life in hours, with the equivalent load and the static safety factor.
25 mm bore, 52 mm outside diameter and 15 mm wide. 6205-2RS and 6205-ZZ have the same dimensions with rubber seals or metal shields.
What do 2RS, ZZ and C3 mean?
2RS: a rubber contact seal on both sides. ZZ (or 2Z): a metal shield on both sides, lower friction but less protection against water. C3: more internal clearance than normal, used for hot running or tight fits. None of them changes the bore, outside diameter or width.
How do I find a bearing from its dimensions?
Measure bore, outside diameter and width, find the bore in the table, then the series whose outside diameter and width match. Example: 30 × 62 × 16 mm is a 6206; 30 × 72 × 19 mm is a 6306.
What is the difference between 6000, 6200 and 6300 bearings?
The same bore with a growing cross-section: for a 25 mm bore the 6005 is 47 × 12 mm, the 6205 52 × 15 mm and the 6305 62 × 17 mm. The bigger cross-section carries more load and has a longer life, the smaller one saves space and weight.
Why are load ratings not listed for every bearing?
C and C₀ are not part of ISO 15 – each maker publishes its own values, which can differ by 10 – 20 % for the same size. The chart lists only the ratings the Bearing Life calculator uses, so you should take the rating of your actual bearing from its maker.
